Benefiting thousands of students and property owners

Maine Township High School District 207’s bond measure that appears on the November 6, 2018 ballot will address the District’s most urgent needs: facility improvements at Maine East, Maine South and Maine West, benefiting thousands of students and local property owners for decades to come.

Your YES vote will...

  • Address critical safety and security upgrades at all three high schools, with new front entrances that include secure vestibules to prevent visitors from entering the buildings before being cleared by personnel and new fire suppression systems.

  • Improve energy efficiency and reduce costly emergency repairs by replacing outdated plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems—saving taxpayer dollars.

  • Extend the useful life of existing high schools, eliminating the need to completely replace these facilities. (Replacing the high schools would be much more expensive.)

  • Improve handicapped accessibility for students, teachers, staff and visitors with disabilities.

  • Update classrooms and labs to leverage technology, improve collaboration, create flexible learning spaces and better prepare students for college and the workforce.

  • Create appropriate space for special education, career and technical education and fine arts programming.

  • Improve Library Media Centers to enhance functionality and access by all students and staff.

  • Relocate and expand the dining areas to relieve overcrowding/congestion, providing sufficient time to eat lunch.

  • Reconfigure facilities to improve students access to counselors and other support services.

  • Protect property values districtwide.
